Don Kelly, Chairman
District 1 Commissioner
Commissioner Don Kelly is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 1st District and the Chairman of the Board.. He was elected into office in January, 2013. His current term expires December, 2020.
Commissioner Kelly is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. Don serves on the Board of Directors of the 55th Wing Association and the Papillion La Vista Schools Foundation. He is also an active member of the Offutt Advisory Council, the Omaha Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Advisory Group, the Sarpy County Chamber and Trinity Lutheran Church. .
Don is also a Vice President at The Garrett Group, Inc. and is a retired USAF Colonel. He and his wife, Melinda, reside in Papillion and have two sons and one grandchild.
District 2 Commissioner
Jim Thompson is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 2. He took office on January 6, 2011 and re-elected for a second term: January, 2015 thru December 31, 2018. Commissioner Thompson serves on the Legislative and Stadium Committees. He is also a liaison representative for the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO). All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.
Commissioner Thompson is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He also has a MBA from Creighton and a Masters Degree in School Administration from UNO. Thompson has been involved in many community organizations including the Sarpy YMCA, Teammates, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Lions Club, the Papillion/La Vista Schools Foundation and several Chambers of Commerce.
Jim has lived in the Metro area for 56 years and has been a Sarpy County resident since 1975. He and wife Nancy have four grown children and six grandchildren.
District 3 Commissioner
Commissioner Brian Zuger is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 3rd District. He took office in January, 2017. His term expires December, 2020.
Commissioner Zuger serves on the Sarpy County Legislative Committee. He is also a liaison representative for the ENHSA/Region Six Behavioral Health Board and both the Jail and Corrections Criminal Taskforces. All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.
Commissioner Zuger earned his bachelor's degrees in Leadership and Master's of Public Administration at Bellevue University. Zuger focused specifically on the topes of crisis management and the leadership principles involved in making tough, responsible decisions.
Brian and his wife Heather have lived in Sarpy County since they were married in 1996.
District 4 Commissioner
Commissioner Gary Mixan is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 4th District. He took office in January, 2017. His term expires December, 2020.
Commissioner Mixan serves as liaison for the Sarpy/Cass Department of Health and Wellness, Metro Area Board of Directors and the Merit Commission.

Jim Warren is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 5. He took office on January 11, 2011 and was re-elected for a second term January 2015 thru December 31, 2018. He has previously served on the Gretna City Council and as Gretna's Mayor.
Commissioner Warren serves as liaison representative for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee and Merit Commission. All Commissioners serve on the Noxious Weed, E-911 Shared Services, Board of Corrections and Negotiations Committees.
Commissioner Warren holds a degree from Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, Georgia).
Warren considers "community service" very important to him and is involved in numerous community activities including the Gretna Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and Gretna Chamber. His roots in the Gretna area go as far back as his Great Grandfather. Jim is a former business owner and is currently working with "Journey Church of Gretna" which was founded in 2009. Jim also spends time in Haiti doing volunteer work.
He and his wife, Patti, reside in Gretna and have three children - Daughter Jamie, son Josiah and daughter Sarah.
